It is well known that families often experience trauma during their time in the NICU that impacts their overall experience. Through an understanding of the types of traumas experienced, the trauma-informed care that can be provided and the tools to collect and review feedback from graduate families, meaningful change can be made to improve support to families in the NICU and improve their overall experience.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES

- Identify at least 1 strategy to provide appropriate care to NICU families
- Describe at least 1 tool that can be utilized to collect and reflect on graduate family feedback to lead to meaningful policy and practice change to improve the NICU experience
