Safety culture allows for fair evaluation of patient care outcomes and medical errors. With a goal of creating safer systems of care, a distinction is made between human error in unreliable systems and intentional unsafe acts. In this webinar, you’ll learn about this transformative model for performance improvement including the implementation of shared governance, principles of crew resource management, simulation, unit-level leadership and culture.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Describe at least one characteristic of a “Just Culture” as it relates to patient safety.

2. List two practices that support a culture of safety.

3. Using the ” 7 C’s To Building Trust” list one area where you excel in building trust; and list one area that you could improve.
