The following Code of Conduct and Policies apply to all Synova events. By participating at the event, you agree to abide by the Code of Conduct and Policies.

Synova Associates LLC values the participation of all conference attendees, including nurse leaders, faculty, and sponsor representatives, and endeavors to deliver an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. All attendees are expected to show respect and courtesy to other attendees. All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience, including people of different backgrounds. All attendees at any Synova Associates events, including NICU Leadership Forum and Perinatal Leadership Forum, are solely responsible for their actions.

Synova Associates will not tolerate harassment of any kind, including, but not limited to, harassment based on ethnicity, religion, physical appearance, disability, gender, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to all participants and attendees of all Synova Associates events. Harassment includes, without limitation, offensive gestures, verbal and written comments, deliberate intimidation, unwanted physical and/or sexual contact, and prolonged disruption of Conference sessions or other events. Attendees requested to cease harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately, and failure to comply may serve as grounds for removal from the Synova Associates event.

When notified of individuals engaging in harassing behavior, Synova Associates, at its sole discretion, may take any action it deems appropriate, ranging from a verbal or written warning to removal from current and/or future Synova Associates events. Decisions to prohibit individuals from future events is the sole discretion of Synova Associates.

If you are being harassed, observe that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact Synova Associates at admin@synovaassociates.com.

All Conference, Social Event and Exhibit Hall proceedings require a badge to attend. Lost or misplaced tickets and badges will not be replaced.

All Synova Associates event participants, including but not limited to conference attendees, faculty, and sponsor representatives agree to the following video/photo consent policy:

I hereby grant permission to Synova Associates its employees or representatives, to take and use: photographs/digital images, videotape, audio recording or quoted remarks of me/by me for use in promotional, commercial and/or educational materials. These materials might include printed or electronic publications, websites, promotional materials, or other electronic communications, and may be used without limit. I further agree that my name and identity may be revealed in descriptive text or commentary in connection with the image(s). I authorize the use of these materials indefinitely without compensation to me. All negatives, prints, digital reproductions and video and audio recordings shall be the property of Synova Associates LLC.

Due to liability and courtesy to other registrants, anyone under the age of 18 and spouses/guests may not attend the Conference Sessions, Social Events or Exhibit Hall, with the following exceptions:

  • Meeting attendees who are breastfeeding will be allowed to bring their child into Conference Sessions as needed.
  • Guests over the age of 21 may attend the Tuesday Evening Dinner and Entertainment for a fee.
  • Those with a disability, please contact admin@synovaassociates.com to discuss accommodation needs.

We may ask to scan your Synova Associates event name badge for security and monitoring purposes. Please note that when scanned by an exhibitor, the QR code on your badge allows the exhibitor to collect your contact details which they will use to contact you for the purposes of event follow-up and to send you marketing information about their products and services. If you do not wish to share your contact information with the exhibitor for these purposes, please do not give the exhibitor permission to scan your badge.

All cancellations, requests for refunds and substitutions must be made in writing to mgehl@synovaassociates.com, based on the following criteria:

  • Cancellations: Cancellations requesting a refund or transfer credit must be received in writing by the last day of the Regular Registration period. A processing fee of $100 will be deducted from each refunded registration. No refunds will be granted after the Regular Registration period ends.
  • Attendee substitutions: Any attendee substitutions must be received in writing at any point before the conference begins.

Synova Associates is firmly committed to full compliance with all federal and state antitrust laws and expects the same from all attendees at its meetings and conferences. No activities associated with Synova Associates’ meetings or conferences shall be used to bring about any anticompetitive agreements of any kind among competitors.

Impermissible discussion topics include any of the following:

  • Wage, salary or benefits information.
  • Pricing, including discounts, bids or other terms of sale (e.g. cash discounts, rebates, credit or
    shipping terms).
  • Profit levels, costs or margins.
  • Possible increases or decreases in prices or any future plans on prices.
  • Standardization or stabilization of prices.
  • Pricing procedures.
  • Capacity, production or other limitations on either the timing or volume of production.
  • Allocation of markets or customers.
  • Refusal to deal with a business or individual.
  • Whether or not the pricing practices of any industry member are unethical or constitute an
    unfair trade practice.
  • Confidential customer or marketing information.
  • Confidential R&D initiatives.
