WHAT OUR NURSE LEADERS

Have To Say!

“The Virtual NICU Leadership Forum in 2020 was a phenomenal first virtual experience. I can’t wait for the next one!”

“Synova always seem to address the hot topics or challenges we are dealing with on an everyday basis in our units.”

“The comradery at the NLF you get the feeling you are not alone.  It’s been so rewarding and validating to be part of the Synova community during such trying times.”

“For me it’s important to bring my whole leadership team to foster their growth and show them there is a whole world outside of our NICU.”

“To see that level of engagement from other leaders during the virtual event was very rewarding because it got ideas going and prompt further discussions about issues that matter us.”

“Having the app that Synova created for the virtual event made me feel like I was in the in-person event.”

“The panel I was on was fantastic. I was so excited to share my story and the feedback I got was incredible.”

“After the event I was the winner of a group coaching cohort because of my engagement on the app and it further developed me a leader. Synova is more than just a conference it was a community for Nurse Leaders.”

“Sometimes as a leader you have to dig really deep to support your team and I really believe that the NICU Leadership Forum and the mentors I have gained through this community have made me a better leader. Even though it’s hard right now we have to keep growing together.”

“I have been coming to Synova conferences for 20 years. When I first started to come, I was a really young leader. I don’t even know if I considered myself a leader and I grew so much as a leader during those y ears and I have to credit so much of that to the Synova conferences.”

“I tell my director this all the time there isn’t always a lot of support for people in roles like mine and it can be lonely in leadership. The forum of people is such a great group that I have gotten to know over the years that gives you an incredible amount of support not just at the conference but all year long.”

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Speaking Our Truths: Faces Behind The Mask

COVID-19, unrelenting racism, social and political unrest and natural disasters have been stressful on patients, families, our teams and ourselves. As we begin to process the events of the past year, we find ourselves in a new reality. We may ask ourselves: “How can we walk boldly into the future, not forgetting what we have been through, but learning from the challenges we’ve faced?”

We often have to put on the “mask”, to be the strong, brave leader our staff look to for stability, support and strategy. The NICU Leadership Forum is our opportunity to get together and “unmask” and find healing from our colleagues across the nation. Together we will:

  • Be vulnerable and share our truths
  • Have conversations that confront how we equitably support our teams and care for our patients
  • Seek solutions to the diverse challenges we face in our units
  • Join the Synova Community to embrace the next steps in our leadership journey
