WHAT OUR NURSE LEADERS

Have To Say!

“For me the biggest takeaway was realizing I was not alone. Everyone in leadership always seemed so together and confident but through multiple sessions I learned everyone felt insecure at some point. Knowing that they had overcome gave me the confidence to continue forward and evolve into a better leader.”

“I have been coming to Synova conferences for 20 years. When I first started to come, I was a really young leader.  I don’t even know if I considered myself a leader and I grew so much as a leader during those y ears and I have to credit so much of that to the Synova conferences.”

“Sometimes as a leader you have to dig really deep to support your team and I really believe that the NICU Leadership Forum and the mentors I have gained through this community have made me a better leader.   Even though it’s hard right now we have to keep growing together.”

“The forum of people is such a great group that I have gotten to know over the years that gives you an incredible amount of support not just at the conference but all year long.”

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

PEOPLE, PURPOSE & PASSION: Rekindling Our Why

How can nurse leaders shift from “survival mode” to create a positive atmosphere for staff and families? Nurse leaders have a demanding and complex role that commands accountability in leading high preforming teams while achieving quality patient outcomes. Through the challenges of the last two years, nurse leaders are tasked with providing quality care and improving experience, while reducing costs – a challenge that has pushed even the strongest leaders to their limit.

At the 2022 Perinatal Leadership Forum, we will:

  • Rebuild a culture of gratitude
  • Establish a positive work environment
  • Acknowledge our imperfections as we find fulfillment in our role
  • Reignite our passion for why we became nurses

Why Can’t We? How Modern Nurse Leaders Can Capitalize on Change and Empower their Teams

Modern nurse leaders are energy managers. They empower their teams and ensure readiness for change by intentionally moving energy away from ‘why we can’t’ to ‘what does excellence look like right now?’ Through this evolved leadership approach you will learn practical ways to move your team from a mindset of what ISN’T possible in the challenging healthcare circumstances of today to an authentic reflection of what IS possible and the roadmap for how to get there.

TRANSFORMING NURSING PRACTICE & CARE DELIVERY (HALF DAY PM)

The last two years have changed nearly everything in our lives. Healthcare, and specifically nursing, has changed dramatically. This includes staffing our units, recruitment and retention, educating new nurses, and care delivery models. Learning to embrace disruption as a catalyst will allow courageous leaders to emerge with plans to transform nursing practice in their areas. In this highly interactive and engaging preconference, you will learn how to speak the “language” of Innovation, identify tools to quickly source ideas and develop methods to filter ideas. The workshop will come to life as you develop an idea that “has legs” and pitch the best idea to a group of savvy nurses.
