Making Patient Experience a Priority

In this session, you’ll learn about one unit’s effort to meet the complex needs of their patients and families through their journey to implement a Patient Experience Committee.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Describe 3 or more strategies that one large Level IV NICU used to improving the patient and family experience in their NICU.

2. List at least 1 strategy discussed in this webinar that could work well in your unit to improve the patient/family experience.

FACULTY:

Tanya Williams, MSN, RN, NE-BC has been an RN for 17 years with 8 years of leadership experience. She is currently a Director of Nursing at Texas Children’s Hospital with responsibilities for the three Main campus Neonatal ICUs (76 bed level IV NICU, 55 bed level II NICU and a 42 bed blended level II and level III unit) and the two vascular access teams (a dedicated Neonatal team and a Pediatric team).
