Elizabeth Kester, MSN, RN is the Director of Nursing in the Labor and Delivery unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She holds an advanced degree in Communications, specializing in marketing and graphic design. Elizabeth enjoyed a successful twelve-year career in advertising and marketing prior to her transition to women’s health nursing. Elizabeth is a nurse leader that is committed to addressing issues of patient quality, safety, and satisfaction. She is a passionate advocate of women’s rights and supporting an empowered birth experience. Elizabeth is an active member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics, and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN), sits on the executive planning committee for the Perinatal Leadership Forum, and is a coordinating planner for March for Mom’s.
