Linda Talley, MS, RN, NE-BC, is the VP and Chief Nursing Officer at Children’s National Health System in Washington DC. A NICU nurse by training, she has held numerous administrative positions at Children’s leading up to her appointment at CNO in 2012. She has led the organization in their first redesignation as a Magnet hospital and is currently leading the journey to their second redesignation as well. Linda leads important organization wide initiatives including care model redesign, technology implementations and disaster training for nurses. She is currently leading efforts to decrease workplace violence, and she has recently launched an innovative program to address nurse recruitment and retention made possible by a donor gift of $1M.
